What Did My Dog Just Do?

Whether you are a new dog owner or you’ve had dogs since you were a kid, thee are some strange dog behaviors that may need decryption. Our four-legged buddies are usually well behaved, but there are times when they act out in such weird ways that you do not know what to make of it. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who needs an explanation for some of the different things that dogs do. The following is a list of different dog behavior and the meanings of these behaviors.

My Dog Went Zoom

My dog just went zooming around the house or yard for no apparent reason. Many pet owners are surprised by the sudden burst of energy that their dog exhibit. Experts believe that this is a result of happiness. Your dog may have gotten excited to see you or was inspired to run around because he thinks you’ll play with him or he just felt refreshed by his bath.

My Dog Ate Grass

So here we were thinking that dogs were carnivores and he goes and eats some grass. We think it’s weird but for them it’s instinctive and something that has been passed down since time immemorial. Dogs are not carnivores and so were their ancestors. In order to survive, early ancestors of dogs had to scavenge and root for food. Some even ate plants as an aid for digestion and as medicine.

My Dog sniffs Other Dog’s Butts

We’ve seen our dogs sniff each other’s rear ends and we thought “Oh, that dog’s poop must smell bad”. Well, we were wrong. Scientific studies have shown that dogs sniff each other’s butts (and also people’s butts, too!) so they can get an understanding of what kind of dog or person you are. It’s sort of like the saying “You are what you eat”.

My Dog Smells Foul

There are times when our dogs tug on the leash, dive into the grass or undergrowth and come out smelling like a year’s worth of dead rodents. This really disgusting and strange behavior is another instinctive behavior passed down from their ancestors. It is the art of masking their hunter smell with an even more overpowering one so that their prey will not discover them on the hunt.

My Dog Just Gave Me a Wink

Have you ever seen your dog give you a wink? Although this is a fairly common behavior among dogs and cats, some pet owners find it strange and wish to decipher the meaning behind it. Our pets usually do this because there is something in their eye. Sometimes when the blinking does not help, they use their paw to “rub” their eye.

My Dog Just Ate Poop

This really disgusting behavior is fairly common among puppies and undernourished dogs. They do this because they instinctively know that they lack some vitamin or mineral which they can smell in the poop. Puppies usually eat their siblings’ or their poop while adult dogs eat other animals poop when they feel out of sorts and want to gain some nutrition.

My Dog Keeps On Shaking His Head

If you notice your dog shaking his head frequently give him a cursory check. Dogs usually shake their heads because they feel that there is something stuck in their ears or their ears feel out of sorts. This can also be a sign of an ear infection or a tick or flea infestation.

My Dog is Sleepwalking

Dogs sometimes exhibit signs of dreaming by whining, moving his feet when asleep, and sometimes barking or growling. More extreme cases show dogs actually standing up or running around and hitting a wall or furniture. While we can never be sure if they really do dream or if the behavior is a manifestation of muscle memory and pent up energy,

My Dog Always Leans On Me

Some dog owners notice their dogs leaning on them on more than one occasion. This very endearing behavior is actually a sign of their trust and affection for you. Experts explain that leaning is also his way of getting comfort from you during stressful or confusing times. At times, it could also be the other way around. Your dog could be trying to comfort you and assure you that he is there when you need him.

My Dog Chews On Wood

This behavior is common for puppies who are in the process of getting their permanent teeth. When your adult dog does this, it could be a sign of anxiety or distress. Some dogs chew on furniture or plants when they feel anxious if their humans are not at home. Separation anxiety is real for animals as well as people so you should find a way to correct this behavior or you will run our of furniture and home.

Today we are talking about one big question that many dogs owner ask; Can dogs sense evil in bad people. Dogs are the smartest pets that you can ever have. Never underestimate your dog since its good in detecting human behavior. A dog can know whether a person is to be trusted or not. Since people socialize with dogs all the time, it’s essential to learn some facts about your dog. Having information about dogs may help one in preventing incidents that one couldn’t detect. If you are wondering whether dogs can sense bad people, below are the facts.

Researches to show that dogs sense evil in bad people

Various studies were done to prove to try and show whether dogs sense bad people. Some of these studies are as follows;

•Researches pointed at a container that had food and made the dog run to it. The dog did as expected and ran towards it. They later looked at an empty box and made the dog ran towards it. The dog ran and found there was no food in the box; the researchers did the same experiment again. This time around, it didn’t run to the container since it knew it was empty. The investigation shows that the dog has trust issues and can detect the truth in many instances.

•Research that dogs know the relationship of individuals with the owner. The experiment usually carried out with dog owners. People tried to give the dogs a treat. In the trial, the dogs didn’t take gifts from people who were unkind to the owner. The dog preferred to receive help from good people who were friendly to the owner.

•Research, too shows, that dogs read the communication of strangers and the owner. In the experiment, the owners requested help from strangers. With this, the dogs avoided strangers who were rude to the owner and helped those who were kind.

Facts to support that dogs sense bad people

Many types of research show that dogs detect human behavior. Below are some of the facts about how dogs tell untrustworthy people.

Dogs have bonds with the owner. A dog has a deep relationship with its owner. Many times, the owner sends some signals to the dog to predict danger. In such instances, the dog learns about the bad things that the owner is cautious. However, the dog observes the behavior of the owner when being friends with other individuals and when not. All these behavioral skills of the dog can detect bad people just by observing whether the owner is comfortable around certain people.

Dogs have grudges. Owners spend most of their time with the dogs. During all this time, the dogs know the real friends of the owner. However, when an individual is unkind to the owner, the dog can detect it. To such individuals, the dog holds grudges, too, like its owner. The dogs, however, don’t accept strangers in their homestead since they’ve never met with the person. It explains why dogs react to strangers when they visit the owner. With all that explanation, it is right to say that dogs sense bad people.

Dogs have sensitive snoots. A dog has a susceptible organ, which is a nose. Dogs can sense chemical substances that any individual may fail to detect. Researchers say that dogs sense changes in the human brain through pheromones emitted by a person. They can smell the hormone and detect something is wrong. This reaction happens before a person acts aggressively to someone or something. The dogs here already have a feeling that something terrible is about to happen. Thus, it supports the fact that, indeed, dogs sense evil in bad people.

Dogs trust their guts. Just like humans, dogs are even better when it comes to following their stomachs. Dogs have a sixth sense. People often ignore their guts in many circumstances. For the dogs, they trust their guts all the time. Therefore, when their guts tell them someone is unkind, the dog starts barking or growling to send an alert to the owner. That is why dogs can sense evil in bad people.

Dogs have some social intelligence. When you lie to a dog, you create a lousy gesture for the dog. Dogs depend much on human reliability. When a dog gets tricked, it gets stress and may become aggressive. Therefore, if an individual tries to trick the dog in any way, it will automatically realize. Due to the high intelligence, it gains from humanity will be able to sense bad people and will react fiercely towards the person. It is advisable always to maintain trust with your dog since it will also help you socialize with kind people.

Since everyone is advised to stay home, it would be pretty scary to go outside. However, there are times when you need to head outside to buy some groceries. Sooner or later, you are going to run out of food to eat at home and other things you need like bathroom cleaning materials, garbage bags, and As a result, it was pretty adorable when a Colorado dog delivered groceries to its elderly neighbor. It was such a heartwarming story and here are a few things that could have happened after that:

More Visits From the Neighbor

The elderly person will most likely visit her neighbor. She knows that the dog deserves a huge reward for what he did. It is one favor that is going to get appreciated for a long time. Elderly people are known to have a hard time moving from one place to another. For a dog to do what it did, that goes to show how amazing its personality is. It was either trained by its owner to show compassion to elderly people or it did so voluntarily. Expect the two to develop a close relationship. If the elderly person is alone, she now found a new companion. Believe it or not, it is normal for old people to be alone because their children would decide to start a new life.

The Start of a New Friendship

It is never too late for someone to be friends with a person or an animal. In this case, it is an elderly being friends with a dog. You must cherish each moment of your life and there is a reason why dogs are called a man’s best friend. They always cheer you up when you are down and they don’t ask too much from you. Of course, you must feed them because they won’t be able to feed themselves. The friendship will certainly last a long time since the dog showed it can be a good friend to the old person. At this stage of her life, the person will think she must

Elderly Adopts the Dog

It is no secret the elderly person developed a great relationship with the dog. Thus, nobody would be surprised if she would want to adopt the dog. She would certainly want to take care of it and repay the dog for its kindness. There is no telling whether the dog’s present owner would allow that to happen though. One possible scenario would be the both of them sharing the dog since they are neighbors.

More People Try and Imitate

Some people will try and get their dogs do the grocery shopping for them. This will certainly lead to hilarious results for them. They can try all they want but it is just not going to happen. In fact, they can take a video of their dog’s reaction when they give their pet a grocery list and plastic bags. It may just bark at them or smell the bags.

Grocery Stores won’t Ban Dogs

This will certainly lead to grocery stores taking out their banning of pets inside the store. You can’t blame them if they would think the pet will make a mess inside the place. However, if they think the pet has a good intention of going inside then they would not ban dogs anymore. There are a lot of people who bring their dogs wherever they go. It is what you are supposed to do with your pets. When you go out, you can’t just leave it tied to a post alone in your home. You must bring it with you and bring something to clean its poop in case it does take a dump.

Whether the above things happened or not, you can bet this story will be talked about for a long time. It is also unlikely that it will happen again. Besides, the dog would not want to serve as the person’s maid in the foreseeable future. One thing is for sure, a lot of people would want to know what happens next in this heartwarming story. Everyone certainly wins because this little news makes everyone’s day a little bit happier in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

Dogs and Humans Have a lot in Common

They also have many differences. We love to take our dogs everywhere with us and sometimes they want to take us somewhere with them. Humans can accomplish numerous things, while dogs have a limited amount of things they can do. Many people don’t believe that impossible things can happen, but that law gets broken very soon. Speaking of the law, a man and his puppy partner in crime, are about to prove the impossible.

Source: Image from Pexels.com

It all started in Lakewood, Washington….

A man and his puppy pal were on the road to brewing mischief. The man, or dog I should say, were going on an intense car chase driving wildly and fast. The driving was so intense that it sparked the public and other drivers to phone in the police. The vehicle was going faster than one hundred miles per hour, also known as one hundred sixty kilometers per hour.

Source: Image from Pexels.com

He was in an area South of Seattle and continued to drive carelessly and recklessly. The man had already managed to hit two other vehicles and didn’t attempt to stop his vehicle after that. To his luck, thankfully no one was harmed. The police than continued to stay on his tail, no pun intended, to see what the wild man would do next.

The man stayed at a consistently fast speed never slowing down or paying mind to who was in front of him. When it came time the two decided to drive elsewhere to get the troopers off their track. The two eventually drove onto a very popular trail called the Centennial Trail. This trail was meant for cyclists and pedestrians to enjoy the outdoor environment, and fully experience the pretty views. This trail also contained a smooth walking path for the public but not on this day. Unfortunately, the views they may have seen were very chaotic and extremely reckless.

During the chase luckily no one was harmed or on the trail, giving relief to everyone around. The puppy duo still tried every attempt at making their run for it, but were in a rut. The wild puppy chase soon had to come to an end. The police eventually arrived in front of the man and his puppy sidekick by laying out spike strips. Spike strips are the highest quality assets when it comes to stopping hit and runs. This then made the vehicle come to a haltering stop.

When the police walked over to his vehicle to her surprise, she saw the pit-bull sitting in the driver’s seat. When she looked over, she saw the man’s hand on the steering wheel and his foot reaching over onto the pedal. The man than claimed that he was training his dog to drive. The trooper was astonished by the excuse as it was one of the first she’d ever heard. ” I wish I could make this up.” exclaimed Heather Axtman The trooper went on to say “I’ve been a trooper for almost 10 years and I’ve had a lot excuses when I’ve arrested people or pulled people over, but I’ve never had an excuse that the dog was driving.” She added chuckling.

The man’s name was Alberto Tito Alejandro and had then been arrested for the wild event that took place. The vehicle that he was driving was a 1996 Buick that had seen better days before the rowdy incident. The fifty-one-year-old man shortly had been charged with a hit and run and reckless endangerment, due to the places they chaotically drove through. He was also charged with being under the influence of drugs. And lastly, felony eluding, which is creating a danger to those around, for attempting to driving higher than the speed limit. The man’s bond was set at eight thousand five hundred dollars.

His presumed court date had been placed to start on March the 30th. The man’s kind pit bull pal was transferred over to the animal shelter, while her owner had been arrested. Luckily, the two got to go on an eventful adventure together and didn’t harm anyone in their exhilarating puppy chase. Hopefully, both are reunited once again, under safer and less strenuous situations.

Dogs Love The UPS Drivers

Luckily we’re not alone when it comes to people who love dogs and animals as much as we do! Dogs are wonderful animals who are happy to see you no matter what and they deliver so much joy and love into our lives. Working a long hard day can be rough for so many and just having a little bit of joy can really change your whole day around. That’s where these wonderful animals come in to play and help achieve kindness just by paying a visit to these hard workers.

How Did It start?

A UPS driver named Sean McCarren helped start a whole chain of positivity and helped to bring a group of hard workers together and share the joy they got to experience with each furry friend, He did this by creating a Facebook Page where all UPS drivers had the option to upload and share their unique experiences they had with dogs. Along with many other animals such as deer, cats, and even a raccoon. This brilliant idea helped to spark so many different people and come together as one, with a common event in place, which was so inspiring to see. When it comes to delivering packages each driver can uniquely have their own story and emotion with the dogs and animals they get to encounter. Which in return provides so much inspiration. The idea to create a Facebook page is so brilliant because sometimes in your job you don’t get out there as much and this helps to build people up and be more open with themselves and others.

One Person Started All

Dogs and animals are very great stress relievers and are a great way to help lower your stress and allow you to focus on something other than the job at hand, or even a hardship you may be going through. These animals look just as happy as the humans going to visit them which makes it all the more special to everyone involved. As more and more photos were shared, the more popular the Facebook page became. What started out as one person just sharing his own photos, turned into thousands of other UPS drivers sharing similar awesome pictures. The page continues to grow today and keeps building.

What a Cool Idea!

I mean who wouldn’t want their adorable pup in a picture with a UPS driver. “It was crazy,” Sean said. “I just thought it was a cool idea. I didn’t think that it was going to hit as hard as it did.” And frankly, I think Sean deserved to have so much positivity going his way. This is because sometimes that’s what this world really needs.

Feel Good Feeling!

Positivity is the best way keep the world going and help one another out. McCarren had been in the air force for eight years then attended Shepard University to teach elementary education. When the opportunity arose to be a UPS driver he arose to the occasion and left during his third year of college. He went on to say that “There’s no negatives, there’s no politics it’s just feel-good photos that are fun to see pop up on your feed.”

Who is Helping Sean With His Facebook Page?

Sean is not the only one who runs the account by himself. He gets help from Donna Whitaker, who also drives for UPS in Hagerstown UPS center. An interesting fact is that both of them plan out when they will post more photos, due to their busy schedules. The Facebook page isn’t associated with UPS but word did go around about the Facebook page. The company was very happy that the page shows the fun side of the job. The posts and the page help to create an even stronger bond with both the customer and the UPS driver, thus helping UPS grow along with growing as a community.

The Facebook Page Blew Up With Fans!

McCarren is very grateful to everyone sharing his posts and wants to someday create products for others who appreciate the work, and love for UPS Dogs. He then wants to hopefully focus on creating a charity. McCarren would love the opportunity to sell types of apparel and to use those earnings to give back to shelters and give back to the community. Currently, one million six hundred ninety-nine, eight hundred and sixty-two people like the UPS Dogs profile page and it still continues to grow currently. My hopes is that all these people will continue to change lives and make this world a better place. They have already done an amazing job so far.
